...live throughout North America, Africa, and Asia. They eat the inner bark of trees; herbs; catkins; currant and rose bushes; dandelions, clover, grass and the leaves of alder, poplar and willow. In Southern Tutchone traditional stories the porcupine is brother-in-law to the beaver. This young one was cruising along the Grey Mountain Road in Whitehorse during the summer of 2010.
